Kids Design Week in Milan

kdw_frozenbanana2It’s spring again… and that always means design time in Milan! From tomorrow on until Sunday, there is not only the Salone Del Mobile and all its satellite fairs but also the first Kids Design Week in the terrific Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia.

What will it be? A fair with designers who work for children, toy and furniture companies AND many promising workshops for kids, too. For example, designer Alejandro Céron helds a workshop with “unknown materials” on Friday and Saturday, while the new experimental Dutch design label SANKS offers some “unlearning”,  a “playful and autonomous auto-production method” on Sunday, both for kids from 7 years old on. The entrance is free – be there or be square!

If you want to see the whole program, check out the website here, for more pictures see a nice (p)review on Dezeen here.
